Bruce's Opening Night
I am so thankful to the venue for the late-scheduled addition of the 9/30 concert to the already sold-out concert tour. The only disappointment was that after his opening song ("I wrote this for tonight's show..." - The Wrecking Ball), he announced that Friday's concert would feature another album, Saturday's Born in the USA, etc. Thunder Road, last night's show, was performed in its entirety (unfortunately not my favorite of his albums!) and then some. The show was unforgettable, with a few surprises toward the end, and his back up (go Stevie) was amazing - I missed Patti. Playing from ~8PM till past midnight without a single break, not even a pause, the man CAN go on. Parking was easy (arrive early); tailgating good, but it was a COLD evening - wear lots of layers, and bring a blanket and prepare to have a ball! Security and backup personnel were efficient and polite (only one small marijuana bust in the aisle!).
